Hey guys the other day my flexpipe broke on my 02 1.8T quattro. I was wondering if a b5 downpipe is the same as the b6. Also can you use a TT downpipe or are the b6 downpipes different then the b5 and TT

No they are all different. But any competent muffler shop can cut the old flex joint out of the old downpipe and weld in a new one.

I just got the downpipe replaced at the dealership. My car is a 2002 model, and it seems rusted pretty bad. Maybe this is a common problem for 02 models?
Anyway, it is not cheap to replace a downpipe.. I've paid around 700 dollars... If you can found a cheaper place.. that would be good . good luck

yea local shop charged 350 for change of flexpipe and removal of resonator
