Coil Pack harness/connector

Re: Coil Pack harness/connector
well, when you test it and you only get one plug that did not make the hesitation worse then yeah, you just need one. but if you unplugged another one and didn't make it worse too then that means you have 2 blown, but that's rare that 2 goes at the same time. so check all of them just to be sure.
some people change all 4 once 1 goes, because they tend to start going soon after. but for me, it took a year before another coil pack blew. so it depends on the car i guess. this is pretty common for our cars, so many guys carry a spare just in case one goes, you don't wanna be stuck somewhere at the wrong time and place. =)
anyway, if you just got your car and they gave you warranty, call the dealer and ask if they warranty the coil, because they are pretty pricey, it cost me about $53 for one coil pack from the dealer.
if you wanna save, you can buy from online sites such as ecstuning
here>> Audi B6 A4 Quattro 1.8T > Engine > Ignition
pretty good price for a set of 4, costs about $147USD with shipping, whereas getting it from the dealer for all 4 could cost over $200, sh*tty deal...
anyways, lemme know if you have anymore questions. you can search around too for some answers if you have any. go to audizine.com very good site.

hmm, honestly go with the dealer if you just need one. just a piece of mind i guess. aftermaket ones might not operate on par with OEM stuff, so just to be safe.
that's just my two cents though. you make the last call =)
