Unhappy Cd player- help!

Hey guys,

Have an 04 A4 1.8T with 107k
I've noticed that my 6 disc CD player is a little messed up now.
Every now and then, CDs are skipping, not reading, and I'm getting error messages.
I love my music and I'm looking for a fix!!
Yes, I DO have an iPod but for me, nothing beats CD quality!

Is there a solution!?!
Is there anything that exists that can clean the inside of a CD player?!

HELP!

Are these CDRs? Have you tried store bought CDs?

it is possible that if the Cd's have been in the reader for a long timer w/o removal, that due to over play, and bumps in the road, the laser reader can scratch the surface.

if this isnt the case, remove your existing cd's burn a fresh one, and test it out..

if the problem re-appears, you need to clean the cd player...
im not sure how you would do that on a 6disc... but you can buyer cleaners very cheap.

I'm scratch free!
That's why I'm freaking out..ALL of a sudden, ALL of my CDs started skipping.
I guess I'll drop by future shop and see if a CD cleaner helps

Try cleaning it first. Hopefully that'll do it.

Sometimes you get dust in there on the laser and that keeps happening. Had the same issue I bought Air in a can and sprayed it for about 2 minutes making sure no liquid is coming out of the can and going inside the cd player, also tried to keeping the opening as much as possible. There really is no other way unless you take it appart and that is extremely difficult. As I have smashed it before i had the patiance to open it carefully. After that it worked for a year then i got a new one as i got error3 and that could not be repaired
