Default Body Work

If you noticed a small patch of rust on the body of your A4 would you attempt to deal with it yourself? On close inspection it looks like somehow it got scratched-tiny, too small to notice, but enough that water got in.

On other cars I would just deal with it myself, but not sure here.

I'm too and don't have any experience with body work to touch my own car.

I would leave it to the pros, since I have no technical experience with that kind of thing. I think most men would want to at least try it before they give out the work. I am contented with paying to have the work done.

I would definitely leave it to the professionals if it was my car. I would hate to mess something up or make it look worse when I know they can fix it and everything turn out fine.

This isn't in a particularly noticable spot, so I really am leaning towards trying to deal with it myself. It's not my first time at all, so I have plenty of practise.

I never thought I'd find such a cautious bunch here!

I agree with WheelWell, an A4 is certainly not to mess with when it comes to bodywork. Yep, you may do some DYI stints, only if your an expert. Better consult the expert as they say. lol

Wheelwell, but you didn't tell us that you had previous experince with minor body work or that it wasn't in a particularly noticable area. Good luck to you if you decide to fix it yourself!

We certainly are a cautious bunch, but it's only because we thought you did not have the necessary expertise. If you feel confident enough, go ahead. You may even want to let us know how it went.

If it were me, I would let a professional handle it, I am just not experienced enough to fix something on my car, and I don't think I would trust it to follow through. If you have a lot of experience, I say go for it.

Ive taken touch up pens to the car, but it has to be right after the damage takes place... if it gets contaminated it starts rusting after.
