Thanks. When I bought the car, one of the arms was broken already... so maybe I'll inspect it to learn a "do not as I do" from the prev owner.

I just broke down and purchased a new driver's side wiper arm and 2 new 2002+ A4 wipers from Audi here in Victoria. $59.00 for the wiper arm (whole assembly minus the blade) and $15.00 each blade. Not bad price for the blades I guess.
