Default Antifreeze G12 low sign or leak

When I passed my full inpsection @ dealer the antifreeze sign was near the low level and technician never topped it off after I mentionned it.
3 months later now with the colder weather, the light on the dashboard came on briefly
I checked and the level dropped a bit...went to dealer and gave me fro FREE 1 liter pre-mixed G12
Technician told me I should have it looked at make sure no leaking
Is it possible due to colder temperature or I better have it checked as I have not seen any drops anywhere...

I don't think you have a leak based on the information that it only dropped a little. Top it off to the proper levels and keep an eye on it.

Keep it on max level not min level, otherwise you could be sucking in air at times, and if the air bubble reeaches your pump than you have no circulation, and it may also end up in your interior heater which is hard to get rid of.

Thanks!
I was really nicely surprised that the Dealer next to my work simply offered me at no charge a 1 liter G12 premixed! That was Nice for a change!
It is on the Max level so I will keep a very close eye...

I have a 2005 B6 also and had the same issue. Turned out to be a hose leak. i kept topping as well but you should have it pressure tested to be sure. They are sealed systems are not supposed to fluctuate in levels.

Acoupkle hundred bucks at Crosby Audi in Kitchener. The service was great....!!

Sometimes the mechanic will add too much water to antifreeze. Water boils in 100 degrees and Glycol in 130 degrees, so water evaporates first leaving you on the low mark with coolant.

In Calgary water boils in 96 degrees (it is hard to make good tea), and when I add water to antifreeze it is gone fast.
