Indeed you were correct to start from left to right...

Now I face 1 major problem : there is a rectangle under the headlight, which *could* house the ballast, but it does not fit at all. Is this place meant to receive a ballast? If not, where should I install the ballast?

Plus, what is about that 2nd hole in the High Beam ? It is clearly to install another bulb, which must be really, really small !
does your VVME kit have a rubber grommet somewhere on the wires?

most people drill a hole in the back of the cap which you open to get into the projector lens area. The rubber grommet is made to seal up a hole about the same size. You just let the ballast go out the back and tuck it on top of the headlight or zip tie it somewhere in the engine bay.

This might help you.

this is another way you can do it as well if you want to put it in that little space under the headlight. This is a write up for B5 A4 but its basically the same thing.

I'm not sure if the headlights came with instructions but it would be good to read them.

that little bulb next to the h7 high beam bulb is a W5W City bulb.

Post pictures of the headlights installed on your car as well. I'd appreciate it.

I will not plug in the w5w bulbs, since near my home they only have the "yellowish halogen" tint, that would be ugly to death with HIDs.

I finally succeed in closing the dust covers. I effectively made a hole in them, but the gromet is not stable enough (probably because I made the holes with a soldering iron and there is some melted plastic remaining on borders of the hole) So I will add a nice and subtle touch of epoxy to finish the job.

I will need to find a correct spot for both ballasts, but from what I've read, they are not getting that hot so I'll try to fix them on a plastic part somewhere.

The headlights are really really cool, they fit well and are perfect for a dark car like mine.

PICTURES will come, but I will wait a bit, since I get the car repainted at the end of the month. I will present the car at its original state, and now, with :
- new fog lights with bluish bulbs
- Depo/Helix new e-code black headlights
- HIDs
- repainted
- 19" Enki wheels & Potenza tires
- LIMO overall window tint (this, is really dark!!)
- new windshield (I'm kind of perfectionnist...)

That spot on the bottom of the headlights would be where they place the factory ballasts if your car came HIDs from factory, Yes you can fit the ballast there but VVME ballasts a wider then then area, so your going to have to shave off the sides of the spot a bit before fitting the ballasts in. But since i was lazy i placed the ballasts in other areas haha :P

I asked this question to the company where I bought the lights (Parts4Euro.com - Aftermarket BMW Parts | Aftermarket Audi parts| BMW Tuning | Volkswagen tuning | Euro parts), but they did not felt like answering was a nice idea! I'll ask it here then :

When i use the car, I get an error in the dash. It says that there is a problem with parking lights. Of course there is a problem, it seems that there is no parking lights in the headlights. Honnestly, I am okay with that because I did not like them. But, I really dislike seeing this error each time I use the car. So, I would like to have a way to resolve this.

This is what I tried : I changed the country code of the car from KAN (canada) to Rest of the world. The green light in the dash (the DRL light) is effectively off, but the message remains. Bonus, I've lost my cruise control. So, I'll put back the country to canada, but I would really like to get rid of this error message.

As a reminder, the headlights in question as in the beginning of the thread are DEPO black ECode headlights

Maybe I could just plug in some w5w bulbs, like those 10-LED types on ebay to solve this? The best for me would be to disable the message and the DRL.

Also, I am sorry I may be confusing "DRL" "city lights" and "parking lights". Actually in my car, the warning concerns "feu de stationnement" which is parking lights...

You are correct saying that the DEPO's have no parking lights.

Change it to the USA code and you'll be fine.. just have to turn your headlights on if you want the DRL look.

But if you want to get rid of that code you need to wire in resistors for the number 7 pin out on the headlight.

Great, but what is the resistance of the resistance in ohms? And, I have not unmounted the headlights yet, but do the pinout numbers are written on them?

Also, I finally got the car back with new paint, windshield. Plus the new headlights, the look is very nice. As asked, here are some pics :

As a reminder, here is what it was looking before :
