Smile A4 date display format

Hi,

Anyone know how to change the date format on the dashboard? By default it goes like dd/mm/yyyy. I changed it to mm/dd/yyyy for a friend on his '05 A4 but forgot how to do it.

Thank you very much!

It is done on the trip computer - use the toggles on the wiper blade arm. Believe it is listed as date/time.

Ditto.

Also, is there a way to change the KM/litre to MpG? (without switching to USA country code)

Yes, at least on mine. Access the trip computer and chose the date/time category - it allowed me to change the time, date and to have it on 12 or 24 hr.

How do you access the trip computer?

On the '08 A4 the trip computer is access by using the window wiper arm. There is a toggle on the tip of the washer arm that you can use to scroll between screen and under the arm is a reset button which you can use to change functions. Between these two buttons you can adjust the date/time settings and what is displayed on the computer - ie milage, average speed etc.

you mean when the screen goes blank?

i have 1 (current trip) and 2 (continuous count) options on that, and the third button-press blanks the screen - never thought to check the clock when that happens...

EDIT - nope, that's not it. must be an upgrade over the B6 models...

Mine has 2 trip computers as well. When I press the reset button it goes from trip 1 to trip 2 and if I press reset again it goes to a new screen where I have 3 choices, "set", "check" and "turn off". The set option allows me to change the time, date, milage etc.
