2005 audi a4 quattro cabriolet fob programing help needed
Hi,
I do not have the manual and I need to program a new key. I have two keys and this blank is the third. Would someone mind scanning in the process from the manual and upload or just type it out please. Thanks

Are you trying to program the remote or immobilizer (engine)? The remote is done by putting one key in the ign to on, locking the car with a working key from the outside lock and pushing the unlock button once for pos 1, twice for pos 2, three times for pos 3 or four times for pos 4, counting to 8 (supposed to be 5-10 secs iirc) and then hitting unlock again. If programmed correctly the sidemarker will flash with each button push and the car will unlock after the final button push. Turn the ign off and it should be programmed - if you have 2 remotes programmed already, program the new one to pos 3 - if one of your old ones doesn't work anymore you likely just overwrote its position.
Immobilizer requires locksmith equipment to program, not a DIY

To be clear, the Immobilizer can be programmed on your own with the use of a VAG-COM. Here is the VAG-COM locator on the forum; others can be found via Google.
