Default 2004 A4 6-spd clutch problem - new info

Hey guys,

I've been noticing that when I start my car in the morning (or after work) the clutch feels very soft. In fact the first 1/2 of the clutch travel seems dead. There's no resistance at all. As I drive the car (and shift) the clutch get's stiffer and stiffer and the dead space dissappears. It seems like it's building pressure as I drive along. It's a bit odd. It just started happening. Is there some kind of clutch service that I should be doing. It maybe a dumb question but I'm new to this car. I have 90K's on it.

Is your brake fluid reservoir full ?

Perhaps try bleeding the brakes along with the clutch slave cylinder to get new fluid in there.

Fluid in reservoir should be bright yellow. If it is turning green, it is way beyond time to replace brake fluid.
