Guys,
The APR R1 is a maintenance free diverter valve, you never need to open it. The diaphragm is Nomex based. This is one of the strongest, heat resistant, pliable rubbers on the market. It will NOT tear, break, rip, lose its mold or anything even after 2 years of being chipped. Trust me we tested it.
The only time a valve will ever need to come home to APR again is if it is damaged or the end user is planning on running 30+psi with a BIG turbo and requires a stronger spring from us which is free!
Our valve comes with a lifetime warranty so if ANYTHING should happen to it, just send it back and we will take care of you!
Let me know if you have any other questions!
PS: I a diaphragm will ALWAYS react/respond quicker then a heavy piston that needs lube. Hence the reason VW/AUDI/PORSCHE use a diaphragm from the factory.
