16" rims for 2005(late 2004) a4-3.0
Hi,
Anyone using 16" audi rims on 2005 Audi A4(it's late 2004 model). Do we have enought calliper-rims gap with 16". I was told at service department that Audi A4 requires 17" wheel(my stock is 17"). According to audiwinter-dot-ca I can go for 16" too. Any advice ...
Part Numbers
8K0-071-496-A -8Z8
Recommended Tire Size:
225/55 R16 95H
*Not for S4 or A4 allroad.

If you believe the sales brochure for the '05 A4 then 16" wheels were standard on all models with 17" wheels being options.

The 17" rims I believe were part of the "Sport" package. 16" rims are the OEM standard.
You should be fine with clearence on the 16" rims, unless you have modified the brakes.

I'm not sure if this helps you but I have a 2003 B6 1.8T Q with standard suspension and I have 15" winter rubber mounted on steel rims. Clearance is fine for my standard brakes but does look rather goofy with aftermarket hub caps LOL! Works like a charm in the snow though. Go Quattro!
