Default 02 a4 Speed Sensor went out & no start, need urgent help!
hi guys, my engine speed sensor went out, stupid thing wont start probably and when it does its causing the engine to missfire.

VAG-COM Version: Release 409.1-S

Control Module Part Number: 8E0 909 559 D
Component and/or Version: 3.0L V6/5V G 0002
Software Coding: 0016711
Work Shop Code: WSC 63351
6 Faults Found:
16815 - Warm Up Catalyst: Bank 2: Efficiency Below Threshold
P0431 - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded
16684 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs
P0300 - 008 - Please Register/Activate - Intermittent
16689 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs
P0305 - 008 - Please Register/Activate - Intermittent
16706 - Engine Speed Sensor (G28: No Signal
P0322 - 004 - No Signal/Communication - Intermittent
16690 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs
P0306 - 008 - Please Register/Activate - Intermittent
16685 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs
P0301 - 008 - Please Register/Activate - Intermittent

dealership wants $115 for the part, but my car is a manual 6 speed 3.0 v6

i looked online, but everyone who sells i only sells the automatic transmission sensor, anyone know where i can get one for less? or if stealership is my only choice

How about naming the thread approprietly so we know what the problem is prior to opening it. Everyone on here seems to only come when situations like this arise. Read this!!!!!!

$115 sounds reasonable as ECS Tuning already has them listed as $90+ as it is. Add shipping and duties to that and you're looking at upwards of $110 anyways plus a few days worth of waiting!

yes start, and ye i went to stealership figured i pick up a fuel filter while at it total was $146.17

while your speed sensor is out, you give 12 volts at the fuel pump fuse(with a wire from an other fuse, like the radio one)and it will start.. I did it with mine for a couple hour and no problem..

it works fine, but its getting worse, i know in the autos, the car will stall at the light, i picked up new parts today, 140 bucks for somthing that looks like its worth maybe 4 dollars in parts and labour lol
