Having a heck of a problem with my '02 A4 3.0 Quattro and its headlights. I haven't tested this issue on the highbeams, but the lowbeams and foglights will "blink" or "flash". that is they will turn off and then immediately come back on with the low beams levelling.

To resolve the issue I've replaced the switch with a brand new unit which matches my configuration i.e. front and rear fog lights. Unfortunately that has not resolved the issue.

Is there a relay, fuse or other connection I should check? Otherwise there aren't any issues and I believe the bulbs are fine as they glow brightly and seem to be fine.

I'm taking it in tomorrow to my favourte garage to get them to take a look. Anything I could check before then? Or something I could suggest that they check? If my bulbs were nearly burnt out would this behavior be a symptom?
