pinging noise on startup

pinging noise on startup
i made a post earlier regarding my car not starting when it's really cold out. not sure if this might be related but since i got my oil pump replaced there has been a "pinging" sound for about a half a second upon startup. it stops right away but it's hell to listen to everytime i start the car! any idea on what this might be?
