Nitromethane in Calgary
Going through the Rockies on Saturday. Wanted to try Nitromethane as fuel additive. Nobody seems to stock it.
Does anybody know where to buy it in Calgary?
I am so desperate that I will be trying hobby shops.

Adam, I assume from your post in the toluene thread that you've been Googling again
Go ahead and fill up on 100% nitro - you won't believe the kind of explosive power you will generate!

Where do I buy it thou? My local officer Ruff can't believe the power I generate on the 2 stroke oil notwithstanding he can not give me ticket for acceleration alone. Nitro would certainly light his disco lights for sure!

1) Yes, he can give you a ticket for accelerating quickly. Police officers can ticket you for pretty much anything and call it stunting (Traffic Safety Act 115(2)(e)).
2) Put gas in your gas tank - not two stroke oil, not nitromethane, not booze. Gas.

Re: Nitromethane in Calgary
I took a look at the molecular structure of Nitromethane and what I see are these 2 oxygen atoms bound to one Nitrogen atom. Oxygen is always looking for something that has 2 protons, but that Nitrogen has given its proton charge to the carbon and the other oxygen atom. So the way I see it, the other oxygen atom IS LOOSE!
It is like having turbo in your gas tank.
The only concern is that something like that will burn at 2500 degrees for sure. Will it melt my spark plugs?
(I have Bosh Iridium with 4 electrodes)
There is no stopping me now.
