My car came with a Big Turbo (BT) and its not tuned yet (came with Mika Tuning?)

I was heads up with a Cherokee SRT8 yesterday haha sounds funny but that ****er was fast.

K04 is pretty good, but if you save the extra money over the winter, buy an ATP kit.

GTRS elim is good or GT2871R (which is what i have) rocks

they mount up to stock manifold, full boost at about 3200rpm... which is cool, half of your power band is full boost.

I have a friend who has a KO3S which is pretty close to the KO4, but he wants to upgrade his car in stages... I told him its a waste of money and time if you know what you want in the end. Aim high, go with a BT kit, you won't be dissapointed.

just beware... you get to 230 realllly fast. I wish I had a 6-spd.

try eurocode tuning
atp turbo

extra stuff you're going to have to buy are:

-wideband 02 sensor and gauge $250 shipped
-full exhaust 3" perferably unless u already have; custom should be around $600
-boost controller (you'll find that the N75 sucks) from 400-600
-REVO or other comparable tune for BT 680+tax
-FMIC kits go from 500 to 1000
-turbo with oil and coolant lines
-TIP (turbo inlet pipe) 250

- or-

find a used APR Stage 3 or 3+ kit or something which could be found for 1500-2000

these are ball park prices

I know this isn't in your price range at all... but, you're going to spend the money, might as well go out and havce a killer car... I mean, my buddy Sam has a T3/T4 Super 60 and lit the tires up in 4th gear in his Jetta 1.8T

but if you want to get a K04 and keep up with the new Toyota Camry then go for it.

I'm pretty sure a stock A6 2.7T or even Chipped would kill a K04 A4... no offence to anyone with a K04, I just got stuck with a GT28

and yes i'm a post ***** lol

Bottom line is that $600. ain't gonna do it for you ! A BT A4 is awesome (the GTRS is actually a better street setup due to earlier boost). The power is very smooth and almost decieving compared to the feel of the boost spike of a chipped K03 or K04. If you go the BT route definitely put a new clutch on the list of required upgrades.

New clutch is a must. I have a Southbend Clutch Stg 2 or 3 not sure, it rocks though! GTRS spools like 300rpm earlier pretty much same thing.

Remember, get a K04 and grandma still has a more powerful Camry... Wanna play, gotta pay...
