Motor Swap

Motor Swap
Hey everybody,
I have a 2000 a4 b5 2.8L. Im lookin to either put a supercharger, a turbo system, or just swap the motor out for a newer a4 or s4 motor. Anyone who's done any of those, or done any research on it, lemme know what you think is the most cost efficient, and power happy choice. Cost is definitely a small issue but if its waayyy to expensive for the best power I can always wait and build up some cash. Let me know!

Re: Motor Swap
You only have 2 options that are realistic.
1st and most practical. Sell your car and pick up a B5S4.
2nd PES makes a supercharger kit for your car. (approx $3000.00 usd for a complete kit)
These cars are not chevy's with small blocks in them, it is not easy to just swap out to a different motor. There is a ton of electronics that needs to get moved and it will cost you easily 2 times as much as just buying a B5S4 (which you can easily make into a 400+hp car)

Re: Motor Swap
it makes more sense to just sell your car and like Sillysod says get a S4 because it is the cheaper and easier route.
Unless of course you've spent tons of money on the body, suspension, stereo, and interior of your current b5, then it would make sense to keep it and supercharge it.
Engine swap would be my last choice in this case. Those are my opinions.
