Default I cant choosee!!!!!

Hello and good day to all,
Im new here and have a problem....

BEAST
1997 bmw 540i-6 speed premium pkg.
209,000km
replace motor because of front accident. so its less then 200km
valve covers done and radiator taken care of.
6000$.
certified and e tested.

BIG but I can save 300$ or so if I have a audi 1.8t. 20$ per 100km is a lot ROFL

or

Audi a4 1.8 5 speed 2000 awd
I CAN ALWAYS PUT A BLOW OF VALVE
130.000km
American car
Very good condition
The car is in great condition and needs nothing it just had a NS safety inspection done on dec 14/09. I will have it re certified in ontario before the sale. It just had the timing belt and tensioner replaced as well as the flex pipe(whatever that is???) in the exhaust
6000$

anyone????

Proper Reliability is a concern to be very honest...
Im up for DIY to learn and save a buck!

Seems you can't spell either

So let me get this straight, you're asking the Audi community to help you choose between an Audi and a "dark side" Bimmer ??

Assuming the A4 is quattro, I'm thinking the A4 will be a better 4 season DD not to mention the gas and mtce. costs should be considerably less ...

Good luck and Happy New Year !

not only the awd but also its a 4 banger with a turbo. So all i need is 2500 rpm max and im good all day.
cheaper insurance!
I save 5 to 10 bucks everyday since I love to drive and at the end of the month it adds up. 150 to 300$ I could give that money to my grandma haha.

Id love to put a B.O.V but I not familiar with any brands. I want it to be loud also not to expensive and I want it to last me 50.000km.

When March 1 hits I want to lower her a tiny bit so it looks flush to the tires what springs and socks are best/reccomended?

Also a dvd player 7 inch of bigger is there is such exists?

Thanks audi1987.

Thanks audi1987.

I would go with a honda if you are going to throw a BOV on it. Why is my first question? Second is you need to do a lot more research, to figure out how to put one in as it is a massive headache. it has been done but with a very low success rate, and it just causes problems down the road. You also came to an "Audi Forum" which tells me that you have obviously made up your mind.

Well I like the way it sounds! a lot its like a chick magnet.

Or I could get the v8 roar but I realized the fact that I save more at the end of the month with the a4 1.8t 2000 with a great interior.

I plan on takeing care of this car. I want it to look like a slick euro ride not a ricer.
And the blow off valve is something I had in mind......

What are the pros and cons to b.o.v?

There is no way Im getting a honda but thats for the idearrrrrr.

BOV on an Audi....
Pro's pretty much none, Cons a lot of headaches check engine lights etc. loss of power if not installed properly.

Audi uses a closed re-circ. system and does not bleed of to atmosphere, which gives you the woosh sound.
