PS - I am getting approx 500km / tank mixed highway and city, about 650 highway and about 450 city.
Well we drive standard, he has auto. But i highly doubt that it will make that much of a difference!!

Run good plugs and change air filter & clean air intake housing. Found a 3.0L with intake screen at air filter box inlet completely clogged with highway bugs!

Check for vacuum leaks and if Turbocharged then check for intake boost leaks, both famous for poor fuel economy and premature cat failures due to running rich!

Well my ride officially lasts 525 km per tank, after i filled up 58 L. I have a FWD so my milage will be a little better and my tank is about 58, i remember it was 2 L less then the quattro.
So there are my stats:

11.05 L/100km
21.3 MPG

It also depends on your driving style. How high you rev your engine and how much you push your throttle etc.

On a rough week, when i am full of testosterone and all angry i get as little as 400 km. I would rev too high and just drive like a ****. On a regualr week its what it is above.

Thanks for the advice K04-S4.

Got a hold of the service records from the dealer and notice the last time plugs & filter replaced was 2 yrs ago at 40.0Km. Obviously time to replace them again. Vent hose one-way check valve was just replaced back in March, but never thought of turbo intake boost leak.

Can anyone recommend a local Vancouver shop that is honest, reliable & cheaper than the dealer?

I use dedicated winter tires on two Audi's and notice no additional drag.

I also use Shell 91 and notice no problems. What is your concern kovb?

i get about 10.8/100k with my auto quattro. instead of a fuel injector service just go to canadian tire and get a bottle of lucas fuel injector cleaner and see if that helps. It helps me

How much did it help? What were you getting before the cleaner?

BTW - my first winter with the A4. Quattro + snow tires = My son has his G1, so I took him out last night to drive in snow for the first time. The kid has no idea how lucky he is to be driving quattro.
