2005 A4 3.0 Quattro Tip

I get an average of about 9.0L/100km with a mix of 70%HWY and 30%City. I do drive a little quick.

The guy who sold it to me almost 2 years ago said that it makes 250hp... I do not think so: original exhaust, turbo, injectors and intercooler, but K&N filter, Forge DV, and NuSpeed plumbing.

All I can tell you is that I went on a cruise with a few of the Calgary guys and the A6 crowd was impressed with Ma' Baby's performance.

I come from the Big Detoit Steel mentality ('79 Camaro 5.7L/350CID with 4 speed... I still have that baby!) and I can tell you that this little 1.8L makes impressively good torque... Now, mind you: I have never driven a "factory" A4!

Final point: she is mighty quick, and mighty strong, but I have no numbers... I have plans to do some work on her soon and then I'll take her to the dyno!

Max, that's good to here that the 1.8TQ has some kick to it, I can imagine the 2.0TQ has that much more. I was really looking for the numbers from actual folks who've done some upgrades, as what you read on paper, only takes you so much.

I will also be looking in doing some upgrades in the next 2 to 3 years, budget permitting of course, but I'm weighing my options between chip and a new turbo. But I also will do an Intercooler, Force Air, and Exhaust as minimum, than I'll assess the Chip and/or Turbo.

thanks again... It's good to see there's are still folks out there that have contrast, i.e. old school 8 banger and a new age 4.

Later.

In normal conditions in Montreal, city and highway for a 2004 1.8t average 12 to13 liters/100km if I push harder i'll get easy to 14 l /100 km.

I recently picked up a used 2004 audi a4 qtro 6sp manual

The gas mileage is pretty much impressive

I get 820km on highway

and 650~700 on highway + city(Downtown Toronto)

I really drive slowly, shift at 1800~2300 rpm...really slow

The car is bone stock!

I wish I know what rpm point should I shift for the gas mileage and better accerleration!

AUDI A4 1.8T Quattro

- 440-500 only city,
- 500-600 mixed driving,
- 600-700 highway only

Usually driving 75% city/ 25% HWY - around 450-500 on the tank.
