Default Feed back on A4 B5 V6 Coil Pack

My coil pack went out on my A4 B5 V6 Avant Quattro on Sunday. I was looking at $300+ plus from the local Audi dealer and $217+tax+shipping online.

Found foreignpartsonline on ebay (eBay My World - foreigncarpartsonline).
Purchased the coil pack on sunday for US$65 + $39 shipping.
Arrived Wednesday via UPS in Oakville from USA. No customs fee so total was $US105.
Installed in 20 mins...cannot recommend them highly enough. Saved $200 and car off the road for only 2 days.

There's a recall for coil packs. You should call the dealer and they'll do the work for free.

Unhappy Re: Feed back on A4 B5 V6 Coil Pack

Hey guys sorry I don't know too much but what coil pack is this? Is it the ignition coil?

I have a 2003 A4 V6. I took it to the dealer and he said that my key reader in the car has gone bad and will need replacement of the entire ignition system (it sends off the wrong code to the engine immobilizer indicating wrong key). As a result the engine starts and intentionally switches off before settling into an idle.

The dealer quoted the entire replacement to be over $600USD

Is there anyway I can reprogam the key reader or computer and disable the immobilizer? i really don't care if the immobilizer doesn't work and any key with the same shape can start the car...its always parked in a locked garage.
