ebay timing belt kit?!

Re: ebay timing belt kit?!
ecs tuning may look expensive, but it has everything you need and the quality they get are top. and its better to be safe than sorry if you got a low quality part for cheap. your car isn't cheap... so paying a bit more wouldn't kill you. they also warranty their parts and sell you the entire kit with no problems. all audi members from audizine, audiforums uses them and found no problems with them.

I'm pretty sure I just said that the parts were exactly the same on autopartsway.ca. Just because you pay more doesn't mean you get a better part.
They don't have a kit like ECS does, but they do have all the same parts. Just bring up the list of parts in the ecs kit and locate them on autpartsway. It might take you an extra 5 minutes, but going that way I would have saved about 200 dollars on my kit.
All that being said, I ended up going with blauparts, because they had a couple of other things I wanted that both autopartsway and ecs didn't have.
I should also add, the TB kit from Blau was also about $200 less than ecs. I'm pretty sure that blau wouldn't slump on the parts either.
The only thing nice I found about ecs is they had canadaease shipping (no extra fees tacked on by the shipping company for duties and whatnot), however it was something like 90 bucks extra. Which in the end would have been more expensive because I was only charged about 70bucks by the shipping company who delivered the parts from Blau.
Again, all this pricing was done for a 3.0L so I can't really say what would be the best bet for the 1.8T. I would highly recommend shopping around though! Check out autopartsway, remember shipping is free in Canada, that can save you $100

Look at Auto Parts in Canada! - OEM and Aftermarket Canada Auto Parts
Make sure that there is no VIN split for your year/model. 2001 A4 had it, and there are some differences in kits.

Re: ebay timing belt kit?!
I normally buy my parts from Autopartsway they have excellent Canadian website and they ship everything out of Canada, so no duty or brokerage fees. I use to order parts from website in US but they use to ship UPS and they charge too much brokerage fee. So now I am sticking with atuopartsway.ca.
