Custom Electric Fans (no fan shroud)
Ok, I'm planning on doing this in the next few months and would like some feedback on if this process would work and if I would need anything else to do it.
- 2x electric fans (universal)
- 1x temperature probe
- 1x relay
- 1x fuze or circuit breaker
- 1x shorter pulley belt (possibly bando 5pk1195)
- wire
Is there anything else I need, the reason it is 1x most things is that with the secondary fan having a dead motor, I would be running the new fan through its hookups.
Basically I'm wondering how well it would work having them mounted side by side and remove the fan shroud and just mount the fans directly to the radiator, unsure how much more room this will give me if any, and just wondering if anyone has run universal fans without the stock shroud. All wiring etc attached to the shroud would be re-routed.
Any information or personal experiences would be appreciated.
