Default Changing Automatic to Standard

I have a 1999 Audi A4 with a tiptronic transmition in it. I have been having some problems with the transmition and i was wondering how big of a job it would be to change my tiptronic transmition to a standard transmition. How big of a job and also what are the supplies that I would need to convert it.

I don't know what you will need but I have a 6 speed tranny out of a 2000 S4 if you are interested.

swapping transmission is a big load of work and waste of money, unless u feel like doing it.

best suggestion would be get another car that has the type of tranny u want. means u gotta change alot of things. unless ur a diy kind of guy/mechanic.

How much are you asking for your 6 speed out of your s4?

Sell said A4 and buy one with a manual. B5's are pretty cheap these days

I have a six speed out of a B5 (2000) S4 which you can have for $300. Problem is getting it to you.

Let me know, PM me

its alot of work buddy trust me. get the same tranny as u did before, and trade/sell it for a manual b6 if you really want to have a MT.

thats my recommendation. otherwise you are looking for high price range for it.
