Default Central locking pump repair?

My central locking pump for my 01 A4 1.8T has failed I believe. I pulled out one from an older VW to see if i can switch out parts or something. The VW pump is obviously different. Is there anyway to repair my Audi pump with this VW CLP?

Thanks
Jason

check to see if the ceramic disc in your pump is broken.
Most of the pumps failed because of this.
then open up the vw pump and see if you can just switch the disc over.
I did that on mine by switching a 1999 vw passat pump to my 97 a4.

Good news! There ended up being two corroded wires that went directly into the CLP. Wires got fixed, now I don't have to dish out 650+ bux. FYI, CLP is located in the trunk, passenger side, right underneath the little side storage bin.

were the wires corroded in the plastic connector or further back, I'm having some strange issues with mine that I'm hoping is an easy fix like that.

remote stopped working
door locks WERE going up and down on their own
windows were randomly going up and down while parked with engine running
fast flashing light near the door lock button that steadies to normal after about 30s
occasionally my alarm with randomly go off and I can't put the key in and turn to ACC to shut it off, have to pull off the -ve battery terminal (maybe something to do with trying to re-sync my remote after the battery change)

funny thing now, after I went into the CLP compartment and drained all the water out
(((at this point after I take off the -ve and re-attach to shut off the alarm the power locks were still working when I manually locked from the drivers door)))
and put everything back together the pump is way louder and a day later stopped powering the locks. Just madness
