Default Blinker problem and heating seat problem

Hi ,

I have an Audi 1999,5 A4 1.8T Quattro . I wanted to sell it but after trying a couple of cars , I realized that my car is a great car ...Its an Audi...I had a lot of money into it last years (couple of 1000$) and this is why I wanted to sell it . Car has 120 000km

I have a few repairs to do right now and will perform them myself . (Meyle control arm kit installation with tie rod and sway Bar links)
AC pump change
rear bearing change

I have two more problems that I can't figure out what they are and hope to find answers here as I know some of you are experts...

Problem no 1: My blinker flashes like it is supposed to, but after a couple of On - Off it stays on (light don't flash anymore). I can't hear the "tic tac" anymore. This is not always like that but it happens 1 time out of 2 ...It's the same thing for both sides blinkers.

Problem no 2: On this Audi (like all the other one I guess) I have heating seats . Right side works fine but driver side does not heat properly. It takes along time to heat and does seem to heat only on a small spot of the seat ( not all over it like on the right side)

I hope to be able to restore this car ...I really love driving it ( everywhere excet to a garage) speciffically in a winter storm

Thanks everyone for reading and/or helping

Pier

the answer for your blinker problem is the hazard light switch. Replace that and you'll get your blinker back. I don't have the answer for question number two though.

If the hazard switch does not do it look at a new flasher unit...cheap fix.

Seat heaters will wear out and the heater wires will break. You may want to pull the seat out to better access the seat cover clips. Once you pull the skins off you should be able to get to the wires and see if they can be repaired or should be reaplced. If you are going to reconnect anything make sure it is a solid joint...soldered....shrink tubed....whatever it takes to avoid the possibility of a loose connection that could turn the connection into an ignition source!!!!!
