Re: Audi A4 (b5-b7) front grille conversion PROJECT
Hi there!
I would like to congratulate you on the great work you have accomplished till now. I'm looking forward to see some pics when the work is done and final paint on it.
I've stumbled upon this project when i was looking for information about doing the same in my b5. Never though that someone was doing the same
I'm almost about to buy the front bumper from the b7 to start doing the job, unfortunately i will have to look for and pay to someone for the work.
I would like to know if the bumper fits perfectly in that OEM bumper support from b5 or it's need any kind of mod.
Do you believe that the b8 front bumper would fit like b7?
I also found in the Portuguese audipt forum that someone was doing the same conversion but to the rear bumper. I it looked really nice, i you want the link to take ideas from i will send the link in a pm. (can't post links at the moment) :S
Best regards and good job you have there

Thanks a lot! it's been a lot of sanding lol, and more to come if i want a chance at making it look factory....
i'd love to check out the link, always looking for ideas and motivation. The bumper unfortunately took a LOT of fabricating to fit correctly. to be perfectly honest i wouldn't recomend it to anyone who doesn't have a little free time on their hands after work lol
Here's a few more teaser pics with a little more smoothness to it lol, those other shots were pretty choppy:

Do you have any pics of the completed fenders painted? I am very interested in doing something similar to this. How much to you extend the fenders? Did you cut away any of the existing fender? I am an Auto-X junkie and would like to run a wider tire but not have any tire sticking out and I don't have the funds for a RS4 conversion. Please post some more pics or shoot me a pm. I would love to get some more info.

stupid idea here but on the little spoiler thing why not get rid of the rings and put the audi quattro lizard. Those who know audi will love it, and its will def be something different

Re: Audi A4 (b5-b7) front grille conversion PROJECT
So after many months of not being able to work on my poor car i finall got back on it today. My biggest problem throughout this project was the front doesn't truely look like a B7 and the lower bumper never seemed to flow with the widebody.....therefore i decided to take off the headlights and bumper and replace them with OEM B7 headlights and a DTM bumper that will accent the widebody pretty good. I have a few """""TEST FIT"""""" pictures here.
There are some major gaps but i have molded inserts that will fill them, and the fender gaps i plan on welding new metal to the fender to match up correctly.....have no fear, i plan on doing this project right lol
PS: let me know if anyone wants my first bumper??? it mounts up great just doesn't run well with the rest of my widebody....i'd be willing to ship it also
