Question another headlight switch question (and airbag)

1998 A4
1.8T quattro
160,000km

So a few days ago my airbag light came on and i dont know how and why, is there anything that tends to happen? What do I need to do to fix it? before I clear the fault light?

My high beams werent working when I bought the car ( i thought it was just because I dont know how to turn them on) but they worked when I was flashing them, low beams worked until today, when they didnt anymore, and I cannot flash the high beams anymore either. They started to work not work yesterday but today, nothing, all the lights on the dash light up in position on but everything turns of in position 2.
Do I have to replace the switch assembly? Is it fixable? What does usually happen?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My previous 2004 A4 1.8 had the Air Bag light light up intermittently. The funny thing was that it seemed to only happen when I had a gang of people in the car. I later figured out that it was the rear right seat. If someone heavier than a kid sat there, the light came on. What was weird, I didn't have rear air bag option.
