I've searched this topic from the thread but couldn't find the answer. Is there any way that I could turn off my fog lights while driving at day? Or, is it illegal to turn off the fog lights on the road in Canada?

In Canada, it's illegal to run without DRL's (daytime running lights)

It is illegal to run without drl. Would you ever get pulled over...? I doubt it.

You need a vag com to change your region code to get ride of drl.

He's got a B5 so VAG Com won't work.

My car turns on "daytime running lights." I just want to turn off fog lights only.
Given that my audi is B5, isn't there any other way that I could turn off the fog lights without changing the region code using the VAG Com?

In Canada, if you have the Xenon option, your fog lights are your day time running lights. The corners are just your running lights. I've also tried the relay mod with our Canadian cars and that doesn't work either. What I haven't tried yet is doing the relay mod on an American relay. I'm sure that would do the trick as the part number from one country to the other is different. I think that is your only option other than heavily modifying your existing relay or wiring. I would search around the sites and see if someone will ship you one from the states then do the relay mod which will allow you to turn on or off your fog at any time. Good luck.
