I paid $60k for mine back in October (which I think was a bit of a steal) and it had 15k on it. It also has carbon fiber interior which that one does not. Still think its not a bad price though if you are interested

The inspection came in today on the car I'm looking to buy:

Coolant is a bit low - currently at -28 recommended is -36 to -45 (~$200)
Intermittent engine mount fail – I need to know more about this
Front brakes have 40% life left, rears are at 60%
Small power steering leak – I’ll ask for more info on this too.
More minor things that are listed on the report.

Overall the mechanic said it was in good condition, there was nothing that caused him any concern. I'd like to know what others might think (I'm not very mechanically minded so some of these things sound scary).

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Here is my advice, stay the *&%# away from the red one for sale in E-town/Red Deer, it had a bolt dropped into the motor, now it has "mystery misfires"

Thanks for the headsup although I'm not looking at the red one.

I spent time talking the the mechanic and owner, doing some research and everything is fine so I'm going ahead with the purchase.

I can't wait to pick it up this week!

is that the guy who is trying to say 'might just be coilpacks' on his ebay listing, and saying he can't check because he's too busy?

Someone needs to egg his house. What a douchebag. He knows full well the motor is ed.

Yup, that would be him. His claim is that a coil pack may resolve the issue, but a quick search turns up his posts asking where to buy a replacement motor. I am good friends with a reputable shop that inspected this car, he confirmed that the motor is toast due to FOD in a single cylinder.

what's FOD? FUKING OWNER is a DOUCHEBAG?

Wonder if it was a chunk of carbon that broke free, made it to the cylinder and then the piston used it to draw pretty pictures in the alusil.

That's the only reason I fear carbon. The performance fears are over-blown. The real concern I have is damaged cylinder wall.

Nice, but the Foreign Object Damage was a bolt from the intake manifold
