Default About to buy

Hey everyone, this is my first post. I am about to order a 2012 S5 Premium. Before I do, I'd like to know what options you recommend or discourage.

Here's my intended purchase:

2012 Audi S5 2dr Cpe Manual Premium
Phantom Black Pearl
Black Nappa Leather interior
Navigation Package
Audi quattro sport differential
19" 5-parallel spoke allow wheels
Bang & Olufsen sound system
Carbon atlas decorative inlays

Does anyone recommend any changes? I have no idea what the carbon atlas decorative inlays are about (can't find info on the Audi site). I have a carcostcanada.ca report for this, and I hope to make a deal that is fair.

Great car! Carbon Atlas is an awesome looking trim....we got it on our S4 and I love it!

Only thing I'd say (n this is not to discourage you) but you might wanna think bout waiting for Audi to put the supercharged V6 in the S5 next year. Personally i think it is a better engine and gives you the option to get S-tronic but some people love the V8 and I see you want a manual anyway. Regardless this is definitely a great car....love the way the coupe looks!

Mad Villain,

Thanks for your opinion! I do like the V8, so I am glad to be getting one now. I am not looking forward to the mileage however

I am debating the trim option. I took a second look. Both options look great. Very tough decision!

Should I buy Audi's winter kit, which is a second set of 18" rims with snow tires, or should I be buying these aftermarket some place?

No problem. I know each person is different n I thought I'd just throw it out there in case u maybe hadn't thought about it.

I can imagine the mileage won't be great but you'll have that awesome V8 roar to make up for it haha!

I really love the CF trim. I think it goes really well with a dark interior because it is pretty dark itself. I find the aluminum trim to be a little to bright....but that's just me...you gotta look at both (preferably in person if possible) and decide which one you like best

I didn't go with the Audi winter package....I'm looking for some aftermarket rims n tires....trying to find something that'll look cool but might just end up with some Audi replica rims. Either way it's working out to about 1G cheaper then Audi was quoting me for their package.

Curious if you are getting any discounts off msrp and paying the full dealer freight charges.
