2007 rs4 "check" switch
Hello all thanks in advance, I have just purchased an audi rs4 and my battery went dead. I used a charger and I am worried i may have damgaged a relay. When I press the "check" switch I get what looks like error messages. I am curious about the icon above that has an "x" through it.
Also I had a bit of trouble with the rear sunblind. It would not operate untill after i put on the rear heat seating. I know these 2 are controlled by the same fuse so i assume the same relay. I also had a low oil sensor go off a couple times and the oil level was fine.
My question is do these gauge pics look ok or do I have to worry about electrical damage?

The circled light bulb with the X is a rear brake light out. I currently have the same one. The alone bulb with the X is a front driving light bulb that is an easy DIY. I haven't figured out the rear brake light yet.

There's basically a round latch in the trunk on the side (in a sedan, I think it's carpeted). You open the round latch (don't try removing it from what I've read as it's only supposed to fold down) and then you'll see a hole (metal type bolt). You insert the flathead all the way in and start unscrewing. Remove it completely. It hold your brake light casing in place. Once removed, you can start pulling out the casing. Just don't rock it from side to side too much as there are two plastic thingies (buds?) protruding from the casing into the car (as guides) and rocking it from side to side too much to dislodge the casing could snap off the plastic thingies. Try pulling it out as straight as possible with little rocking. Once the casing is out, you can unsnap the plastic and access the bulbs. The equivalent canadian tire bulb is a 7506LL.
Or, you can just read this write-up with pics DIY: How to replace rear tail light bulb (B7) - AudiWorld Forums
