Default Launch control

i got a letter from audi with the "missing" page of my manual that details how to use launch control.
Ive done it, its awesome, But i find that it has an almost rough "kick". Ive done it in an older m3 before and it was much smother.

Was wondering if anyone has noticed this or what your experiences are with it,

thanks

How did you go about getting this "missing" page?
I've followed launch control instruction on the net but was never properly able to initiate it.
Can you scan and post this page?

yeah i will. im just away from home and its on my desk.

They sent me a letter yammering on about highest level of service yada yada yada, and the page is the same dimensions as the manual pages, and it details how to use "launch control".

in a nut shell:
set to dynamic
traction control Off
s-tronic or leave in auto

1 foot firmly on brake, other foot accelerate and the engine switches over where it holds a rev vs trying to advance, ( around 3k rpm or so)
hold no more than 5 seconds before releasing brake.

and vroom vroom away you go!

ill scan the page and put it up when i get back

S

Yes this does work on my 2011 S5 Cab.
ESP off, Dynamic mode selected. Foot on brake.
Gas pedal to the floor.

RPM starts off at about 1500 then hesitates and climbs to 3000 or so.
Let the foot off the brake and kaboom.......just do this on a side road where there is no traffic or sudden stops necessary.
Quite exillerating, I must admit.
You do kind of hit the back of the seat when it "launches" and it is pretty smooth.
No feeling like anyting is getting stressed too much.

Kind of a novelty and can't see myself doing this too often but fun just the same.

Thanks for the info.

Not sure if upgraded software is available for your cars fellas but I can tell you that if you like stock LC, you need to check it out with the revs in the 4k range
