Default SIRIUS Module upgrade

Hey Guys!

Just a quick question .. so i have a 2010 A3 .. and would like to install the sirius module..

I am able to get a module from a 2009 a4 8E0 035 593 M single antenna input..

Would anyone know if this will work for me ???? Dealer giving me the runaround once again .. probably because they want me to buy there $620 module ..

Thanks alot!!

The SIRIUS unit with that part number will not work on a 2009 A4. Its for the 2008 and earlier A4's.

The good news is that it will also work on your 2010 A3. (also a TT and R.

In case you don't know, once you plug the unit into the trunk, you will also have to pry off the plastic trim in the passenger side foot well and plug the existing cable into the other available slot. This tells the car a SIRIUS unit is installed.

You can google A3 + SIRIUS and there are installation instructions with pictures out there.

Installed and working amazing! .. way to easy !

As PRDTMGR said , you have to go into the passenger door to connect the cable (easier then it sounds)

I just installed mine a week ago. Very simple install, and I only paid $150 shipped for mine

So nice to get rid of the external unit!!

Where did you hook up that deal? I really want to get some Sirius action going on in my '09 A3 but I have no idea what part number I would be looking for!?!?

Smile Re: SIRIUS Module upgrade

Bought the 8E0 057 593 M sirius module on Ebay $50 + shipping. Installed it last week.
The single antena unit works in the A4 2007 B7, but you must switch the can-bus behind the passenger side footwell. This had me stumped for a while until I read some of the notes on this forum.
Thanks

Hi guys
I have just bought a 2007 A4 & would like to obtain a Sirius or XM module.
Just to make sure, can anyone confirm the module number for my model as the dealer is being quite vague..
Thanks
