Be careful, it seems the first generation (no-chrome buttons, display not HD, not SDHC, etc..).
Serial 192 (First Gen)
Serial 193 (Second Gen)
I paid 900USD for a Used one (2gen) on eBay. https://www.audiforum.ca/2nd-gen-a3-typ-8p-8pa-2003%96present-84/diy-concert-3-rns-e-retrofit-2012-audi-a3-67572/

they're all over ebay too
I just bought one that was the second generation (2010+) for my RS4. It's pretty awesome compared to the regular RNSe.
also that price is $400-600 too high

If is a new one (OEM sealed never open), the price is good. If is a used or open boxe, eBay have better deal.
Also, for a new one, esctuning.com offer it at 1920 USD :

Re: RNSE.....found a place that sells the whole kit and cabootle
I have recently bought an RNS-e from vagnavs.
I'm not sure why, but it's hard to communicate with the guy. I'm not sure if english is not his first language, or he is just bad at written communication, because his written english is good - he just seems not to entirely understand what I am writing all the time.
We had 2 errors in my ordering process, at least one of which was due to him not understanding what I was asking.
That said, he has bent over backwards to fix the mistakes, completely at his own cost.
He is 100% honest, and the product is perfect. I would not hesitate to order from him again, I would just make 100% sure everything is correct before he ships anything out.
I got a 193B model, and because I didn't want the glossy bezel on it, he even sent out a non-glossy bezel, with instructions on how to swap it out. He is even going to reimburse me for the shipping costs of returning the glossy bezel to him.
He takes care of all vehicle specific coding in the RNS-e for your car before shipping it out as well, which made it a reasonably plug and play job, and he includes the latest Nav DVD with it.
