Default Rear hub and bearing replacement?

Started getting a lot of noise and vibration so it's time to replace my rear passenger side on my 2007 Audi A3 2.0t fwd.

Has anyone for this job? I don't have a bearing press so I'm buying the whole hub and bearing together so I don't think I need to press anything?

Looking for an idea of what I'm getting myself into...

I had this done at a local shop on my 2008 last year. A quick & easy fix of just swapping out the part. Took about an hour.

Interestingly, when the bearing went it caused he ABS/TPS sensors to put the transmission in limp mode or what ever you call it. Mechanic said the variation in rpm caused by the bad bearing was enough to confuse the computer. The car would only work properly in manual transmission mode.

What a pain. Caliber bolts were super tight and it took 25m just to get those off. The clearance to get them off when you're using axle stands is not optimal. Better to use a lift so you can take them off from below.

The axle bolt torque was insane. 150 ft-lbs plus a 180 degree twist after. I'm pretty sure I bent my breaker bar.

I feel your pain on the clearance.

I tried to change my rear rotors last year while on stands. No clearance at all. eventually gave up & just did the pads. Rotors will have to wait until next pad change.
