Normal - grinding is probably due to a slight overnight buildup of rust. Have a close look at the rotors before you get into the vehicle in the morning. I can clearly see rust on mine in the mornings, especially if it was wet the night before or after I've washed the wheels and left it standing for a couple of hours.
