Default New transmission at 113,000km?

Bought an 06 A3 (2.0 dsg) at the end of November 2009, it only had 65,513km on it. This vehicle was previously owned by only one person, serviced strictly at an Audi dealership and given the "Audi Certified" used car stamp of approval. Since we bought the vehicle we've also only ever had this vehicle serviced at an Audi dealership and put on less than 50,000km in just over 2 and a half years.

Based on the above I'm having an incredibly hard time getting my head around how a vehicle that has only 113,000km on it, needs anything other than maybe an oil change. We've followed the service schedule, had recalls done as required and are now out of warranty by 7 months.

Dealer agreed and called Audi care getting no where. I called Audi care and got no where "sorry out of warranty nothing we can do" They were nice enough to quote me $7,048+tax....

Any advice?

They probably won't do anything for you since like you said it would cost them plenty. Guys post a bunch of garages on the forums go to one of them and see how much they would charge.

I would find a used transmission and have a mechanic put it in for you. there is one for your car up in quebec for 1500 bucks with 32km on it. i am guessing you might get away with 3000 one all said and done.

For parts or service i go to h2sport in georgetown maybe call them see what they can quote you

good luck
