New Owner
I picked her up yesterday evening, just wanted to share
Very sweet ride !!
Anyone notice when launching from a stop that there is a small slump in power for 1 second then boom ! full power. I tried an A4 last week and it was doing the same thing. Any reason to this?

Re: New Owner
My experience with DSG is that it responds better off the line if you squeeze the gas pedal rather than stomp on it. Almost seems like the stomp confuses the computer and it takes a half-second to decide what you want. If I want to get away in a hurry, I start to put light pressure on the gas just before I need to accelerate. Works much better, but takes a little experimentation to get the timing right.

Re: New Owner
That's pretty much what I do, my old car was also a Turbo and it didn't do this. I know what turbo lag is and that ain't it.
Another question,
What is this ???
Small door that opens above the mirror??

Re: New Owner
Didn't you ever get the sun sneaking in through there? That is a small sun visor.

Re: New Owner
Get out !!! I don't know but I was expecting something more original
I might have found another utility for it. I have an RFID garage pass that used to be glued to the back of the mirror on my old car, but in the Audi there's no room to do that. I might just stick it on this small sun visor

Re: New Owner
Another question, are you guys running on premium gas all the time? On the fuel door it says to use between 91 and 95 octane. What could be the side effect of running on regular gas?

Re: New Owner
First of all it doesn't say between 91 and 95. It says you should use fuel with an AKI of 91 and a RON of 95. Read: Octane rating - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia if you're interested in what this means...
Basically, don't use low octane fuel, you will end up with engine sludge, the engine won't perform as well, you'll carbonize your exhaust system quicker, and will end-up with engine problems sooner in the car's life. It's always best the use the highest octane fuel available with engines like the 2.0T
