My 2006 A3 Project
Hey guys, I am from the south-shore of montreal, QC and I resently bought myself an Audi A3. This car is awesome ! But it is still stock tho. Btw, my first language is french. so If i make a mistake please correct me so I can get better
Since I have the car, I've put
3'' unitronic Downpipe with high-flow Cat
Stage 1 Unitronic ECU Upgrade
But I want to put a lot more and start my little project and try finishing it before returning to school.
Mecanicly
Carbonio Cold Air Intake
Unitronic Intercooler Upgrade w/ Boost Hose kit
Neuspeed Engine Torque Arm Insert REV.2
APR PCV Passby Mod ( If I get a problem with the PCV Valve )
Borla Cat-Back ( Might get a magnaflow.. I need advice on this one )
APR Stage 2 ECU Upgrade
Estheticly
Coilovers ( Don't know which one yet, but I want 2'' drop in front and 1.4-1.6 in the back, again i need advice )
Roof spoiler ( that looks more sport )
Roof cover black vinyl
Tinted windows ( 70-35-35 )
Tinted Tail Lights ( Smoke )
HID 6000-7000K
S-Line chrome&black Fogs cover..? ( Cadre in french )
And if I have enough budget I might get the spyders headlights and 18'' Inch mags of the S-Line of a newer year of A3 and powdercoat them black.
Sound System
AMSS sub upgrade ( if still available )
some better 6.5'' speakers and tweeters ( still don't know which one, if the AMSS sub upgrade is not available, i will get some better bass speakers... )
Kenwood Single Din Radio (KDC-BT855U)
I know it is not a lot but still, I am a student going back to school in 6 months so I don't have so much time to get this car to his best but still I will get it better. I will repost to give you updates. Don't be shy to give me some advice

fellow south shoreian :
can't help you with the engine but aesthetically :
1) coilovers - lots of options, i have KW V1 and really like them. just get something stainless steel for rust protection in the winter
2) since you have a premium, get the full votex kit which is the oem lip kit (front, sides, rear and roof). you can find brand new for about 100$ (they went on liquidation a few years ago)
3) don't smoke the tails. Upgrade to OEM LED's found on 09+ or stay stock
4) whatever you do to the headlights, keep it OEM. Anything else looks cheap.
5) Any original or replica audi wheel is a good idea and 18 is the perfect size. Only problem with OEM other than the price is they are often too narrow (7") with high offset (50+ ET). For replica you can check out VMR or ALZOR from ECS
happy modding and keep it clean
