Default How to replace Air filter

I'm recently purchased an air filter for my 2007 audi a3, and I cannot figure out how to get the engine cover off to access it. I've read previous threads about pulling really hard on the corners, I did this and started to crack the plastic surronding the engine cover. If anyone could offer some insight, I would really appreciate it!

Thanks, for the reply, that is the link I looked at. I pulled hard enough to crack the plastic on the cover, so I don't think that is right. It feels as if something needs to be loosened.
