I have the 3.2. And Yes to all those things that you mentioned above except the rain part haven't seen that happen. The one other problem I have is the position of the handbrake !! I have never used the handbrake never thought i needed it but then read some interesting posts and since my driveway is sloping down I now use it. If you move the center arm rest up then good luck getting it back where it was its a process! If its too low your going to hit it with the handbrake. The guy who thought that one up seriously genius !!

Interesting comment on the fuel consumption but a bit confusing as the Audi website shows the front wheel drive vehicle to consume more fuel than the quattro when you compare similar transmissions (6 speed to 6 speed and automatic to automatic). Also interesting that the automatic as listed as more efficient than the manual.

to the earier post saying good winter tires on fwd is as good as awd - that is crap. I've had numerous fwd cars with good winter tires and NONE compare to the traction of winter tires with AWD in my current a3! I have dirven in snow storms with a 30 cm of snow on mountain highways - scary stuff in a fwd but barely even slows the a3 down!
Back to the original question - love the a3.

. The VR6 sounds great with the magnaflow sport catback and can't wait to hear it with the EvoMs intake i ordered.

Got my 2011-A3 a month ago. It's a 2.0T quattro, with all the S-Line decals and spoilers and the bi-xenons (they were optional). Very happy overall, but the only thing I regret: I did not get the sport package, which means I got the cheap seats. Poor lateral support. In order to get the better seats, the $1800 sports package is well worth the money.

I don't have much complaints... i chipped my fwd a3 and i'm installing neuspeed catback and downpipe with koni fsd's... she runs great! i'll wait for a 2012 A3 before i buy a new one... chipped 2.0t can beat a stock 3.2, so it's all good.
As for winter, unless u live in DEadmonton Alberta or somewhere with wicked harsh winters, awd isn't necessary, just some driving skills.

i ain't saying it's not worth getting awd, heck, i can even guarantee my next one will be. what i'm trying to say is that fwd is fine if you know how to drive in winter weather, and unless u live in the boonies, i can completely understand why awd would be a no brainer. But i don't drive like ken block, so i don't really have any regrets for buying fwd instead of awd. it saved me a couple of g's and allowed me to chip and mod my ride significantly....
plus i live in quebec, where all the best drivers live.... lmao!
