Default custom factory options?

Hi,

I'm in the market for a 2011 A3 Quattro. Did not go to Audi dealer yet as it's 250 km from my home. I will see dealer within a month.

I have browsed the audi.ca and audiusa.com websites.

I noticed that on the audi-usa website, you can order options like aluminum roof rails (which make the car look like an RS-3), navigation, wood trim interior, options that are not available in Canada. Do you know if possible to have a special order and get these options in Canada?

I also noticed a much lower price in USA, despite the CAN$ now worth more than US$, but that's another story!

Unless someone who recently purchase an A3 has the answer I suggest you Private Message (PM) USPAVANTWANTED

He will most certainly answer your questions.

bluebenz, below is the latest information from the 2011 Special Order Guide for Canada. I do not see Aluminum Roof Rails, I believe this is what is meant by "Bright Roof Rails". Let me know if there is any further info you seek.

Cheers,
Paul

Thanks guys!

Ever since I saw that grey RS-3, I've been wanting an A3 dark grey with aluminum roof rails and mirror caps. Not sure I'd pay $1150 for roof rails though, and certainly not $3400 for navigation!

bluebenz, i don't know how keen i would be to install roof rails after delivery at whatever shop, but you can retrofit a Navi unit for an A3. see eBay, should run you under a $1000 for a good one. just another suggestion.

I agree, retrofitting an audi nav is probably the way to go, I found a RNS for about $750 on ebay.

yup, sounds about right. do your homework beforehand, sellers have been known to mislabel units. the a4 and a3 units are different and will not fit into the other vehicle. good luck.

Hey USPAVANTWANTED, is it possible to get the black headliner separately rather than having to move to the premium package then titanium package. I really want to stick to the S-line Quattro with the sport package but I really want the black headliner and the Sirruis radio separately if possible.

Can it be done?

He rocknuts,

sorry for the delay in response. I do not believe it can be done. In this discussion I posted all of the Special Order options for the 2011 A3 and I do not see what you are asking for. Besides installing the hardware for the Sirius yourself, it looks like you would need to opt for the Audio Package.

Cheers
